What makes a healthy scalp?


A clean and healthy scalp starts with a clean and healthy lifestyle. Following a well-balanced diet, exercising, getting plenty of rest and sleep, drinking enough water and using stress reducing techniques all go a long way towards keeping your scalp healthy.

Take care of your insides - Making sure your diet is rich in vitamins and minerals such as zinc to reduce hair loss, folic acid to encourage cell renewal in your scalp, iron to help prevent thinning and discoloration of your hair and vitamin A and C to help circulate oxygen to the scalp. Beauty truly is about what’s on the inside. Making sure you are looking after your diet and nourishing your body with wholesome, fresh produce and proteins all contribute to the health of your skin, hair and nails.

A little bit of selfcare – While properly fueling your body is important, you also need to be following some external care rules when it comes to your scalp’s health. We all need to take the time to look after ourselves. By incorporating a little bit of self-care into every day you will be able to help ensure your scalp is happy.

Detox and exfoliate - Products like hairspray or gel can cause a buildup of on the scalp. This build up can suffocate the hair follicle and cause stress to the scalp.
